Research Technician II- Full-Time

The Ordway Research Institute, Inc., a not for profit biomedical research institute located in Albany, New York is seeking an energetic detail oriented Research Technician II to utilize technical problem solving skills to perform standardized tests and experimental protocols in the laboratory.

The Research Technician II will also perform data analysis and solve laboratory equipment and experimentation set up problems. Experience with microbiological and molecular biology techniques preferred. Advanced degree and background in genetics and chemistry preferred but not required.

Postdoctoral Fellow
 

The Cancer Center of the Ordway Research Institute, a non-profit biomedical research institute located in Albany, New York, is seeking Postdoctoral Fellows to work on two projects in the laboratory of Dr. Igor Roninson: analysis of cancer-relevant paracrine activities of senescent cells and characterization of newly discovered molecular targets in tumor cells. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in cellular and molecular biology and dedication to cancer treatment research.

Postdoctoral Fellow (Glinsky Lab)

The Ordway Research Institute, Inc., a non-profit biomedical research institute located in
Albany, New York is seeking to fill several Postdoctoral Fellow positions in the Translational & Functional Genomics Program which is directed by Dr. Gennadi V. Glinsky, MD, Ph.D. The primary focus of the Program is on molecular and genetic characterization of biological role of small non-coding RNAs, including microRNAs, in human diseases with emphasis on therapy-resistant prostate and breast cancers. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a broad set of experience and expertise in genomics, genetics, microarray analysis, PCR, chromosome karyotyping, high-throughput sequencing, computational and bioinformatics analyses, molecular imaging, targeted gene silencing, general cell biology and molecular biology techniques. Experience in cancer genomics and genetics as well as animal models of human diseases is desirable but not necessary.
